OUR PRIVACY POLICY

Personal data are private. This privacy policy sets out the basis on which any personal data that the Manna Hotels (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.

Please read this privacy policy to understand how we use, process and protect your information collected or provided.

1. INFORMATION THAT WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU 

Information you give us helps us to provide you with our services, enter into and fulfill a contract with you, perform the obligations imposed on us by the applicable legislation and/or reply to or take actions in response to your enquiries or requests. The types of information we may collect:

Information that you provide us:  Including but not limited to:  

  • * Information that you provide via our website, our apps or guest registration cards. 
  • * Information that you provide if you contact us through our general enquiry form.  
  • * Information that you provide when completing surveys that we use for research purposes. 
  • * Information about your usage of our website or apps, including but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and/or the resources that you access as well as the information about you from messages you post to the website and e-mails or letters you send to us.
  • * Information you provide which we may use during your stay or to enhance your stay with us. This could include sensitive personal data such as dietary requirements, health information, information about disabilities etc.
  • * Details of transactions (including details of payment cards used) that you carry out through our website and apps. 
  • * Information that you provide when you enter a competition or promotion.
  • * Information that you provide when you report a problem with our website or one of our apps. 
  • * Information that you provide when registering to one of our programmes 
  • * Information passed to us by third parties
  • * Information you may provide when ordering from our in-room concierge service
  • * Information that you provide when you book one of our services through the website
  • * Information you provide when you make a payment for a booking you have made or for a service you have bought.

The provision of any information by you is voluntary except where otherwise stated. However, where you choose not to provide certain information, we may not be able to reply or respond to your enquiry or request and in this case you may not be able to take advantage of some or, sometimes, all of our services. We collect, process and retain within the legal term the personal data that you provide for the purposes such as entering into a contract with you, performing our obligations arising from such contract, providing you with our services, increasing the reliability and quality of our job, dealing with your booking, enquiries, complaints about our services or other requests, administering your booking and other services, processing on-line purchase transactions, replying to or taking actions in response to your enquiries or requests, customizing our services to your preferences, performing our obligations arising from the applicable legislation, and ensuring and improving guest satisfaction. We also process such personal data for statistical and analysis purposes, conducting internal operations including systems testing and statistical research, providing you with information about news, promotions and special offers relating to Manna Hotels-related products and services and other products and services which we feel may interest you, restructuring our business operations.


With the Information Letter on the Protection of Personal Data submitted for your information and execution (“Information Letter”), our company seeks your consent for the use of your personal data for the purposes specified above and in our letter referenced above. Manna Hotels shall not share your personal data with any third party, institution and organization in the country or abroad without your consent or unless it is legally obliged to do so and/or without a compliance-related purpose.


If Manna Hotels work with different institutions for receiving support services, we shall ensure that these companies will also comply with these privacy standards and requirements.

Information that you enter into our booking forms: Information that you enter into our booking forms may be collected, processed and stored by us so that we may contact you in relation to your booking/enquiry/attempted transaction. This may be used to send operational emails to you or to call you to respond to the enquiry, or the purposes outlined in above paragraphs or to enquire as to why the transaction was not completed.  

Information that you provide on behalf of another person: If you are entering data on behalf of another person, you warrant to us that you are authorized by that person to enter their personal data onto our system, that information is accurate and correct, and that such person allows us to collect, retain and process his/her personal data for the purposes specified above. If any non-compliance by you with respect to this provision results in any loss or damage being incurred by us, you may be required to compensate us in respect of such loss. 

Automatic Information: We receive and may evaluate certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many websites, we obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses www.mannahotels.com including your IP address, browser type and operating system. This information helps us to communicate with our guests and better understand them.

E-mail Communications: If you provide us with your email address, we may email you promotional and marketing materials. As per the applicable law, you may choose the option where you do not permit us to send you promotional and marketing e-mails. We provide you with the option not to receive such promotional and marketing materials in each email sent to you. If you stay as a guest at hotels managed by us, we may also use your email address to send you a Guest Satisfaction Survey after your stay. If you do not wish to receive a survey, you may notify us by mail. You may also receive an auto-generated e-mail confirmation when making a reservation on the internet for stays at hotels managed by us, when consummating any on-line purchase transactions with us, and occasionally from our reservation sales agents for inquiries related to a booking you have made for any of our services and products.

Information from Other Sources: For reasons such as improving customization of our services for our guests (for example, providing recommendations or special offers which we feel may interest you), we might receive information about you from other sources and add it to your existing information. 

Sharing and Disclosure of Your Personal Data:   Your personal data provided to us may be shared with, or transferred to, third parties, institutions and organizations in the country or abroad upon your clear consent in order to allow you to receive support services for the purposes specified herein. . Those parties process information, fulfill and deliver orders, process credit card payments and provide support services on our behalf. We may transfer your personal data outside the country in which they were collected (including the countries where we have hotels being operated or under construction) for various reasons specified herein or to be shared with you, including entering into or fulfilling a contract with you, booking a room, processing on-line purchase transactions, replying to or taking actions in response to your enquiries or requests, processing of these data by us or on behalf of the hotels managed by us, enhancing customization of services provided to you, providing you with information about news, promotions and special offers relating to Manna Hotels-related products and services and other products and services which we feel may interest you, and performing statistical and analysis studies and researches. Transfer of your personal data in the country and abroad shall be subject to your explicit consent, however your consent for the processing and transfer of data shall not be sought in case of limited circumstances specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data.  

Such transfer may be to a country which may not provide the same level of privacy protection as provided in Turkey or by the country in which the information was collected, but we will take necessary protective measures and fulfill our obligations required in the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data and the countries’ other applicable legislation (including entering into data transfer agreements based on the European Commission model clauses) while your data are within our control, in line with reasonable security and privacy procedures to protect the security and confidentiality of these data.

We may also pass aggregate information on the usage of our website to third parties but this will not include information that can be used to identify you. Where you have consented when providing us with your details, we may also allow carefully selected third parties, including other companies in our group, to contact you occasionally by email about products and services which we feel may interest you. If you change your mind about receiving such kind of e-mails, please contact our guest services. If our business enters into a joint venture with or is sold to or merged with another business entity, your personal data may be disclosed to our business partners or owners.

In addition, Manna Hotels may disclose personal data in order to: (i) comply with applicable laws, (ii) respond to governmental inquiries or requests from public authorities, (iii) comply with valid legal process, (iv) protect the rights, privacy, safety or property of Manna Hotels, site visitors, guests, employees or the public, (v) permit us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain, (vi) enforce our websites' terms and conditions, and (vii) respond to an emergency.

Age Limitations: Manna Hotels does strictly not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from our websites for any person we actually know is a person under the age of 18. Manna Hotels may only collect personally identifiable information from persons under the age of 18 as part of the guest registration process, but always with the consent of such person’s parent or guardian. 

2. COOKIES

Some websites store, and so does www.mannahotels.com, information in a small text file, called a "cookie," on your hard disk.

Cookies contain information about you and your preferences. For example, if you inquire about rates and availability, the site might create a cookie that contains the details you entered. Or it might only contain a record of which pages within the site you visited, to help the site customize the view for you the next time you visit.

Only the information that you provide, or the choices you make while visiting a website, can be stored in a cookie. For example, the site cannot determine your e-mail name unless you choose to type it. Allowing a website to create a cookie does not give that or any other site access to the rest of your computer, and only the site that created the cookie can read it.

3. PROTECTION OF INFORMATION COLLECTED  

Manna Hotels will take necessary steps to ensure the following: (i) protecting the personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, falsification or destruction, and (ii) keeping the personal data in an accurate and updated manner pursuant to the applicable law. Moreover, we strive to ensure that our affiliates and service providers make the effort to keep your personal data confidential. We use technology for protecting the personal data you send to us via our website for online transactions. Unfortunately no security system or online data transmission system can be considered to be completely safe.

For the purpose of protecting the privacy of your personal data, we recommend that you do not include your important personal data in any e-mail you may send to us. Kindly do not send us your credit card number or other important data via e-mail.

It is important for you to be protected against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when you have finished using a shared computer. 

 4. LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

Our site and our mobile applications may contain links to third parties' websites. Please note that we are not responsible for the collection, processing, maintenance, sharing, or disclosure of data and information by such third parties. 

Other third-party websites include the landing page of the high-speed Internet providers at our hotels, as well as social media sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter) on which Manna Hotels or our properties may have accounts or fan pages where you may be able to post information and materials.

 If you provide information on third-party sites, the privacy policy and terms of service on those sites are applicable. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of websites that you visit before submitting personal information. 

5 . SOCIAL PLUG-INS

Our website provides social plug-ins of the social networks such as “Facebook”, “Twitter”, “Pinterest” and “Google+”.  

Any platform of this kind might collect and use personal details whenever the user accesses it, registers with it or uses it. Manna Hotels has no control over this whatsoever. Users will find all the relevant information in the terms and conditions and in the data privacy policies of the concerned platform. Each plug-in is the responsibility of its provider (e.g. Twitter, Google). 

If a user has signed up to such a platform but does not want a platform to collect data via Manna Hotel‘s website and link it up with the data stored on the platform, he must log off the platform before visiting the website of Manna Hotels.

 6. RIGHTS OF THE PERSONAL DATA OWNER

As the Personal Data Owner, you are entitled to 

  • * ask Manna Hotels whether your personal data are processed; 
  • * request information related thereto; 
  • * learn about third parties to whom your personal data are transferred in the country or abroad; 
  • * in the event that your personal data are processed inadequately or incorrectly, request the correction thereof; 
  • * request deletion, anonymization or destruction of your personal data if the grounds requiring the processing of your personal data are eliminated despite the fact that they have been processed in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data and the provisions of the other laws; 
  • * request the compensation of your damages in the event that you incur damages because of processing of your personal data in violation of the law; 
  • * in the event that the analysis of the processed data exclusively through automated systems produces a result that will be to your detriment, file objections against such result; and 
  • * in case of correction of your personal data because of inadequate or incorrect processing or deletion or destruction of such data since the grounds requiring their processing have been eliminated, request the notification of third parties to whom your personal data have been transferred before of such situation. 

Manna Hotels shall exercise utmost care for keeping all personal data up-to-date, and in this connection requests you to notify Manna Hotels in writing of the changes in your personal data within 7 (seven) days at the latest. 

Manna Hotels shall conclude the applications you file with them with respect to your above-specified rights as the personal data owner as soon as possible depending on the nature of the request and no later than within 30 (thirty) days, and give its response to you in writing or electronically. 

If your request is dismissed by Manna Hotels, or if you find the response inadequate or if your application is not responded within due time, you are entitled to apply to the Committee for Protection of Personal Data within thirty (30) days you are given the response as the personal data owner or within 60 (sixty) days following the date of your application with Manna Hotels in any case. 

 7. POLICY AMENDMENTS 

This Policy may be subject to amendments from time to time. In case of any material amendments to this policy, the amended policy shall be published on the website. The date on the bottom of the Policy indicates the date of latest update to the Policy. The amendments to the Policy shall enter into force following the publication of the amended Policy on the website. The use of the website following the publication of these types of amendments shall signify your approval of the amended Policy in force. Therefore, we encourage you to have a look at our privacy policy from time to time when you visit our website to see if there are any amendments.
